All lecture classes can be taken online on demand.  On demand classes are pre-recorded and taken at your convenience.  All pre-recorded classes include a live question and answer session with the teacher. Upon completion of each level a special date and time is set up to have a live question and answer session by way of the internet or phone.

Holistic Nutrition Certification (HNC)
 
HHC Level 1: Anatomy and Physiology, and Medical Terminology.

 This level familiarizes the student with each system of the human physiology and introduces the world of medical terminology. This level will help the student understand the client's description of symptoms and understand physician's diagnosis.

 
HNC Level 2: Principles of Nutrition
Learn the nutritional needs of the human body which includes macro and micro nutrients, enzymes and antioxidants.
 

HNC Level 3: Nutrition & Body Chemistry
The student will learn the effect of the twenty-one chemical elements on colon health, how soft tissue is built, the importance of electrolytes and the importance of bone builders and blood builders.

HNC Level 4: Carbohydrates & Fats
The student will learn the truth about the different types of fats and sugars and how they affect our body.

HNC Level 5: Meal Planning Guidelines
The student will learn dietary planning for optimal health for both adults and children and healing for chronic ailments.

 HNC Level 6: Counseling & Clinical
The student will be supervised by a Naturopath while working with clients. Hand out recipes for clients to try.

 
Each level includes Contact Hours: 6 (6 CEs per Level)   Homework Hours: 4

$225.00 per level

 
The student must complete six levels. Each level is an independent module; therefore, the student may take them out of sequence except for Level VI (clinical). After the completion of the program a student can sit for an exam with the American Naturopathic and Holistic Association.

 
The Washington Institute teaches continuing education classes and a certificate program in Holistic Health/Naturopathy in Maryland.

 
The Maryland Higher Education Commission (MHEC) has reviewed the Washington Institute's classes and has determined that the Washington Institute of Natural Medicine  can teach in Maryland.

Upon payment you will either report to our host site in Silver Spring, Maryland or you can participate through
Live On-line attendance with Adobe Connect.

 
If you participate through live on-line attendance our office will send you a link to Adobe Connect approximately 24 hours before the class.

 

 
Upon registering for the class let our representative know that you wish to attend On-line. At that time we will give your information to the instructor. The instructor will prepare for your attendance and will send you hand-outs by email. On site students will receive hand-outs at the time of their arrival to the class.
