Washington Institute of Natural Medicine Colesville Rd.  Silver Spring, MD 20910 In the Heart of Silver Spring The classes are taught as independent modules and can taken out of sequence.     Holistic Nutrition Certification (HNC)   HHC Level 1: Anatomy and Physiology, and Medical Terminology.  This level familiarizes the student with each system of the human physiology and introduces the world of medical terminology. This level will help the student understand the client's description of symptoms and understand physician's diagnosis.   HNC Level 2: Principles of Nutrition Learn the nutritional needs of the human body which includes macro and micro nutrients, enzymes and antioxidants.   HNC Level 3: Nutrition & Body Chemistry The student will learn the effect of the twenty-one chemical elements on colon health, how soft tissue is built, the importance of electrolytes and the importance of bone builders and blood builders. HNC Level 4: Carbohydrates & Fats The student will learn the truth about the different types of fats and sugars and how they affect our body. HNC Level 5: Meal Planning Guidelines The student will learn dietary planning for optimal health for both adults and children and healing for chronic ailments.  HNC Level 6: Counseling & Clinical The student will be supervised by a Naturopath while working with clients. Hand out recipes for clients to try.   Each level includes Contact Hours: 6 (6 CEs per Level)   Homework Hours: 4 $225.00 per level   The student must complete six levels.
