Holistic Health Continuing Education for Nurses and Massage Therapists - Certification Program

Holistic Health Care Practitioner Certification and Continuing Education       

This program is designed to prepare the student to work with clients using:

 Analysis: Traditional Chinese Observations, Iridology and Japanese Hara Study

 Treatment: Herbal Medicine, Food as Medicine, Homeopathy, Supplements and Essential Oils



The program also includes the study of ailments, which helps the student understand the client’s symptoms and how to use holistic methods of treatment. To receive certification the student must complete eight levels.  Each level is an independent module, therefore the student may take them out of sequence and receive continuing education credit for what they have completed.



 After completion of this program and submission of the written course work the student will receive a certificate from the American Naturopathic and Holistic Association and the Washington Institute of Natural Medicine (WINM).



Massage therapist can expand their scope of practice by getting this certification and receive continuing education credit. WINM is an approved NCBTMB provider.



Nurses can expand their scope of practice by getting this certification and receive continuing education credit. WINM is an approved NAPNES provider.



This course is a pre-requisite for the Naturopathic Doctorate Program, the Naturopathology Program and the Integrative Homeopathy Doctorate Program with First National University.


Cost: $325 for each level (Registration 202-237-7681)

Each level is 8 Continuing Education Units

 Level I -Anatomy, Physiology and Medical Terminology    

This level familiarizes the student with each system of the human physiology and introduces the world of medical terminology.  This level will help the student understand the clients description of symptoms and understand physicians diagnosis.


 Level II – Detoxification and Pathology of Disease

Learn the holistic or naturopathic perspective of disease, causes and stages of disease.

Learn the practice of correcting and balancing the internal cellular environment thru detoxification and various other methods.

Learn a variety of detoxification protocols.


Level III - Aromatherapy and Herbal medicine                       

The student will learn how to use essential oils and herbal remedies safely.

Ailments of the Digestive system, Circulatory system and Respiratory system will be discussed.


Level IV - Energy Medicine and Homeopathy                       

The student will learn how to use the electromagnetic power of the body, and how to use Homeopathic remedies for acute and chronic ailments. Ailments of the Nervous system, Reproductive system and Urinary system will be discussed.


Level V - Iridology and Japanese Hara Analysis                  

The student will learn the analysis of the iris and how it relates to the human anatomy. The Hara Analysis is a tool used to determine the present status of each energy center. Ailments related to the Immune system will be discussed.                                                                               


Level VI - Traditional Chinese Medicine                                 

The student will learn the philosophy and principles of TCM and will also learn the 12 major Meridians and their symptoms when out of balance.                                            


Level VII - TCM Observations Tongue & Pulse Analysis    

The student will learn how to interpret the appearance of the tongue in relation to various organs and how to feel for the pulse to determine the status of the clients health.              


Level VIII - Treatment of Ailments 10 cases       

The student will interview the client, perform observations, make recommendations and test remedies.

Upon successful completion of the course students are eligible to receive four certifications in Holistic Health: American Naturopathic and Holistic Association (ANHA): Holistic Health Care Certification; Washington Institute of Natural Medicine (WINM): Holistic Health Care Practitioner Certificate and/or Holistic Health Care Continuing Education Certificate; National Association of Drugless Practitioners (NADP); Board Certified Holistic Health Care Practitioner.

Fee Schedule

-          Registration and deposit of $200 is required prior class date. To register call 202-237-7681


-          Total cost of the program $2,275.00 paid in full 7 days before first class date.

Save $275.00 when full payment is received 14 days before first class date ($2,000).


-          Payment plan

Pay as you take each class level. A payment of $200.00 is required as a deposit  before each class and the balance of $125.00 on the day of the class.


-          Refunds

Deposit will not be refunded if notice to cancel is less than 2 days before class date,

otherwise a full refund will be processed 7 days after notice of cancellation.
